Finn T120 Hydroseeder compared to TurfMaker® 1250 Hydraulic

The Big Difference is Productivity

What if it takes four tank loads with one machine and five tank loads with the other machine to apply the same amount of mulch? What if one machine actually takes 2 or 3 minutes longer to load and mix?

Ask a TurfMaker® 1250 owner how much Flexterra HP-FGM® he loads per tank load. You will most likely get the answer, “9 or 10 bags per tank load”. Make the call yourself. Also ask how long it takes to load and mix the tank.

Ask a Finn T120 owner how much Flexterra HP-FGM® he loads per tank load. You may get the answer, “7 or 8 bags per tank load”. Make the call. Get the answer for yourself. Also ask how long it takes to load and mix the tank.

The answers to these questions are very important.  Time is money – Make the calls!

Other Differences

The Pump:

TurfMaker® 1250 hydraulic models have a 3” steel gear pump driven with hydraulics. This pump can run in reverse. This can help remove a clog without having to take the pump or the machine apart.

Most Finn machines have a centrifugal pump and use a clutch to engage the pump. The pump is not driven with hydraulics. The pump does not run in reverse.

TurfMaker® machines are known for pumping thick mulch slurries through long hoses. Pumping a 10 bag mix of Flexterra HP-FGM® 500 feet up the side of a mountain with a TurfMaker® 1250 is powerful pumping.

The Agitator:

Both the Finn T120 and the TurfMaker® 1250 have reversible agitation. Reversible agitation is useful if a large piece of mulch jams the agitator. This most often occurs with a weak hydraulic system. A second issue is that if too much water is put into the tank before all the mulch is loaded, mulch will float on top of the water. Reversing the agitator can pull the floating mulch into the solution and get it mixed.

Inside The Tank:

TurfMakers® do not have cross members or other mulch catching points inside the tank. Look inside the tank of any other machine. Then consider the time and nuisance of cleaning that tank at the end of every work day.

What People
are Saying...

“Our project started shortly after we bought the machine from you. It ran a total of 27 days at 10-12 hours a day. We rented a Finn for 4 of those days for a last minute push. The guys all agreed that the TurfMaker can out spray a Finn any day.” -H.L., Georgia

What People
are Saying...

“We have rented a Finn T-60 hydroseeder and a Finn T-90 hydroseeder numerous times. We just rented a TurfMaker 700 Hydraulic. I was blown away by the ease of use and the functionality of this machine. We will choose a TurfMaker over a Finn whenever available.” -J.D., Roseville MN
