Controllers
Hydraulic flow controllers for TurfMaker hydroseeders, on both the pump and agitator circuits of the 550 and the 700. A failing controller costs you control rather than power: the circuit surges or hunts instead of holding speed, the handle develops a dead spot, or the pump or paddles creep in neutral. If the motor checks out and the symptom is still there, this is the next place to look. Request a shipping quote and we will send you a payment link.
Common Questions
What does a hydroseeder hydraulic controller do?
It is the flow control valve that meters oil to the pump or agitator motor, which is what lets the operator set speed rather than run wide open.
Which controller fits my hydroseeder?
The pump circuit on both the TurfMaker 550 and the 700 uses the 12 GPM controller, Part #72904L. The 700 agitator circuit uses the 6 GPM controller, Part #72902L. The 550 agitator circuit uses Part #72941. They are not interchangeable.
What are the symptoms of a bad hydraulic controller?
You lose control rather than power. The circuit surges or hunts instead of holding a steady speed, the handle develops a dead spot in the middle of its travel, or the pump or paddles creep when the control is supposed to be in neutral. Crews often chase the pump or the motor for weeks before the controller turns out to be the problem.
